If you’re looking for a life-changing orthodontic transformation, there’s a chance your appointment will be with the amazing Dr Ana. Originally from Lisbon, Portugal, Ana eventually found her way to Smileworks in March 2022 and has been creating beautiful smiles in Liverpool ever since.

Ana got her start in dentistry in 2009 as a general dentist. After seven years in general dentistry, Ana enrolled at BPP University in London and started her orthodontics journey.

At Smileworks, Ana does all things orthodontics. She’s a pro at diagnosing and treating malocclusions (aka misaligned teeth) in adults and children. She sets her patients up for success by meticulously planning their orthodontic treatment plans to make sure they leave with beautiful, straight teeth. If you have anxiety about going to the dentist, Ana is committed to breaking that stigma and making sure your appointments are an enjoyable and even calming experience. With Ana, you can expect to feel at ease immediately after sitting in the dental chair!

While Ana loves connecting with her patients, she leads a busy life outside of her orthodontic work as well! You can find Ana spending her free time salsa dancing, writing children’s stories, or cosying up with a good book. Because of her passion for people, languages, and cultures, Ana is also an avid traveller and loves to go on global adventures with her husband and three sons. Not only has she been to around 40 countries, but she also speaks a whopping five languages! Be sure to ask her what they are at your next appointment. 😉
