Went to smileworks with the intention of wanting some removed and getting some implants ti improve smile - instead Eduardo nicely persuaded me to get braces instead and... stopped me from making the awful decision to get turkey teeth which was the best decision! My teeth are now perfectly straight and I didn't think that would of been possible with how messed up they were! I would now never go anywhere else, they aren’t just great dentists or wonderful hygienists, I feel like they are thoughtful and... caring people. I spent years dreading (and avoiding the dentist) but life is too short for this and I now realise how important your dental health is. I had braces and composite bonding done at Smileworks years ago and the effect it had on my confidence after years of hating my teeth was incredible! I should have done it years ago and if you’re reading this wondering whether to book in, I would 100% recommend it.I recently booked an emergency appointment due to throbbing pain in my back tooth. I went and had an X-Ray and an abscess was found. I had treatment on the area but unfortunately the abscess was stubborn and I still had pain afterwards. I called again a few days later and they booked me in again (no cost) and I saw Ismail who repeated the procedure and finally shifted it! The relief I felt after being in the worst pain ever after 2 weeks was incredible! He was so patient and like every member of staff I have encountered at Smileworks, so open and honest and I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me. I originally went in wanting the tooth taken out and he explained he could do that but it would have certain negative effects. I appreciated his knowledge and honesty so much and after spending weeks in pain it was such a relief to feel better, literally as soon as the anaesthetic wore off I knew it was finally gone. Thank you Ismail!I had a follow up appointment today with hygienist Emma who was so thorough and explained everything about the process along the way. She clearly explained next steps to me without sounding patronising, I felt she just really wanted to help. She excelled with not just the procedure but also the customer service.Big thank you to everyone at Smileworks, from the reception staff who are always so welcoming despite being on the front line with customers all day (been there, done that, it’s not easy!) So how much are braces?
Here are our prices for all of our braces systems for 2024. Our braces cases are graded from 1-3. 1 are the typical cases that are relatively straight forward and 3 are the more difficult cases. You'll expect to be quoted an additional 10-30% if your case is graded difficult. This reflects the additional time and work that goes into the more complex cases. Smileworks are a specialist orthodontic practice and we are able to treat even the most difficult cases with a variety of orthodontic systems that are not included in these prices. Each braces system comes with guaranteed results and also free whitening.
Many of our braces patients finish their braces treatment and decide to have composite veneers or composite bonding. Composite bonding only starts at £200 per tooth and you can read all about it in our main composite bonding article here: Composite Bonding. 
One of the benefits of removable braces is that your teeth are easier to clean. Fixed appliances and braces that are not removable can make it more difficult to keep your teeth clean. This can lead to problems with your gums and sometimes white spots and patches on your teeth. For a video about brushing your teeth with braces then follow the link. Here at Smileworks we take oral hygiene very seriously and your braces treatment includes appointments with our hygiene therapists. At your hygiene appointments the professionals will do a thorough diagnosis of the health of your mouth and will fix any issues like loose fillings or ay other problems. If you are worried about white spots on your teeth once you have your braces taken off, you can read how simple and inexpensive it is to have these removed with a treatment called Icon DMG.
