SCULPTRA LIVERPOOL

Regain facial volume with Sculptra at our renowned injection clinic in the heart of Liverpool.

Sculptra is the revolutionary injectable treatment that is changing the world of aesthetics as we know it. This is not your average filler treatment. This is the natural way to regain lost facial volume and become a more youthful and radiant version of yourself. Think of it as a non-surgical face lift.

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra works with your body to revitalise your skin's inner structure and dramatically minimise the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Instead of simply filling areas of your face with traditional hyaluronic acid filler, these injectables stimulate collagen growth so you can subtly and naturally restore your youth.

Originally brought onto the market in 2002, this treatment is rapidly rising in popularity across the UK, and you will not want to miss out on the chance to transform your skin with these next-generation injectables.

what is sculptra?

Sculptra is an innovative, non-invasive treatment that utilises a biocompatible substance called poly-L-lactic acid. This substance stimulates collagen production in depressed areas of the cheeks and face, providing a gradual yet long-lasting increase in skin volume.

Over the course of your treatment, usually consisting of two to three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart, you will gradually notice a fuller face and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of ageing. This treatment requires patience as you must wait for your skin to restore its natural contours and lost collagen.

But the beauty of this treatment lies in its unique ability to provide beautiful, subtle results. There is no need to worry about getting an overfilled or pillowy look as this treatment works by triggering your skin's own collagen production.

sculptra vs. hyaluronic acid fillers

Sculptra and traditional cheek fillers are both incredible treatments that will transform your skin. Neither is better than the other, and which one you choose is completely dependent on your needs and the results you're looking for. If you're still unsure which is right for you, book a consultation and we'll be happy to help you choose.

is sculptra safe?

As with any aesthetic treatment, Sculptra comes with potential side effects. While chances of occlusions are significantly lower than with hyaluronic acid-based filler treatment, there is a greater risk of nodule formation. Nodules are tiny lumps that can commonly form after treatment.

However, the formation of nodules can be prevented when the treatment is properly administered by a medical professional. At Smileworks, our injectors have undergone thorough training to ensure your safety and the effectiveness of your treatment. In most cases, nodules are not a cause for concern and are greatly outweighed by the incredible benefits of the treatment.

where can sculptra be injected?

While most commonly injected in the cheeks, midface, and jawline regions of the face, Sculptra can be used anywhere your skin needs a little bit more volume. Beyond restoring collagen in the face, it is also used in the neck, chest/décolletage, hands, and butt. Yes, you read that right. Sculptra butt lifts have become increasingly popular and are a great option for those looking to achieve a perkier butt without the risks and downtime of traditional BBL surgeries.

FAQ

Most people are good candidates for Sculptra, whether you're looking to prevent or restore volume loss.

However, an excellent candidate for Sculptra is someone who has experienced facial volume loss from ageing or weight loss and wants to restore it naturally and subtly.

You should avoid Sculptra if you're looking for instant results, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you're under 18.

Sculptra works beneath the skin's surface to stimulate collagen production, restoring lost volume and smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines. The result is a more youthful, fuller complexion.

Sculptra and traditional hyaluronic acid-based fillers each serve different purposes. While traditional fillers provide immediate results, Sculptra stimulates your body for gradual, more natural-looking results.

That is not to say that fillers always look unnatural. This is far from the case. But as a general rule, Sculptra will produce a subtler result compared to most filler treatments. The choice between the two is entirely dependent on your individual goals.

Generally, Sculptra does look more natural than filler. Its ability to stimulate natural collagen production often leads to a softer, more natural look than traditional dermal fillers.

While Sculptra doesn't directly slow ageing, it helps mitigate some signs of ageing by stimulating your body's natural collagen production, restoring collagen loss and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines.

This entirely depends on what you are looking for out of your treatment. Many consider Sculptra to be incredibly worth it due to its long-lasting results and unique ability to promote natural collagen production. Its gradual and natural-looking outcomes make it worth considering for those seeking subtle enhancements.

However, if you're seeking instantly visible results, hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers may be a better option for you.

As with any treatment, there's a risk of side effects, but at Smileworks, these are extremely rare. Our injectors prioritise safety above all else. When Sculptra 'goes wrong', it is typically because the treatment was performed by an unskilled injector.

Sculptra has similar side effects to other injectable treatments like Botox and hyaluronic acid fillers. This includes swelling, bruising, redness, and minor pain at the injection site. These side effects typically resolve on their own.

However, unlike other injectable treatments, Sculptra poses a slightly greater risk of nodule formation. Nodules are small bumps under the skin that form in the treatment area.

Nodules are often the result of unskilled injectors who aren't trained in Sculptra injections. At Smileworks, the risk of nodule formation is incredibly low and is not a cause for concern.

The number of Sculptra treatments required varies based on individual goals and the area being treated. Generally, 2-3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks are recommended for best results. At your consultation, we will work together to establish a treatment plan that works with your needs.

Immediately after treatment, you may experience some swelling or redness, but these effects are temporary. The treatment areas may also look immediately fuller, but this is due to the water in the Sculptra solution and will subside within a few days. Full results will appear within 12-24 weeks.

The frequency of your Sculptra treatments depends on your individual goals. Most patients will have three sessions spaced out over a few months. After these initial appointments, we recommend patients return annually to maintain their results.

Sculptra results aren't immediate. As collagen growth takes time, you'll start to see noticeable improvements in your skin's appearance around 4 to 6 weeks post-treatment, with full results typically visible after a few months.

Results from your initial treatment, usually a course of three sessions, can last up to two years. However, with annual treatments, results can be sustained for much longer.
